After meeting with the heads of the CCG Group we were told that we are held in high regards with the NHS Hartlepool & Stockton CCG and have graciously been asked if we could work with them and have more one on one meetings with them to help them in any which way we can, this in itself is a great privilege and we look forward to our next meeting with them and look forward to them attending some of our meetings which will give our members a chance to speak on a personal level.

The CCG want the very best for the town and are very approachable which is why contacting them is important, they want to hear your views and concerns. Contact your local Member of Parliament, if you are a resident of Hartlepool your MP is Mr Iain Wright. He is your representation within the Houses of Parliament and if enough residents contact him regarding the full closure of the Hospital and how you feel about loosing it, he will have no other option than to stand up, listen and hopefully act.

While you’re writing your Email or letter to your MP, why not write to your local Councillor? Remember to include a copy of your letter which you sent to your MP, just so they know what you have been discussing with him.

Your local Councillors’ are there for you! They invite you to contact them when you have a problem, the local hospital not being around for much longer is one of the biggest problems we as a town face, so let them know, and get your voice and opinions heard! Many things can be done from the comfort of your own home but unfortunately democracy is not one of them, no-one will pop around to see you in-between Emmerdale or Eastenders. We simply need bums on seats to show that people do care and that we are taking notice and we don’t want these changes to happen.

The fight for Hartlepool Hospital is well underway but it won’t be for long if we can't put a stop to the full removal of services, the Hospital will close if we stop caring and stop fighting for it. All of the meetings and consultations will be over soon and we will have to abide by their outcomes. Next time you’re at your relatives or friends house for “a quick cup of coffee”, talk to them, let them know what is going on around them. You will be amazed how many people don’t know what’s happening around them and in their own town. The more people who know the better. ​So start spreading the word!

You are not alone in the fight to Save Hartlepool Hospital, over the next days, weeks and months more people will become aware of what is happening and will not like what is planned or what the outcome will be. There will be activities planned to reflect the publics outrage in these proposed changes.

We have monthly meetings which are normally held on a Wednesday evening from 6pm onwards. Meetings normally take place at Stephanie's Café-Bar Shoppe, 55 Church Street, Hartlepool, but if there is any change details will be changed in advance to let you all know if there are any changes to dates, times or venue.
Not only do we talk about important information on how we can do more to help bring full services back to Hartlepool Hospital, we enjoy freshly made 'Tea-Time Treats', fresh frothy coffee or anything else you fancy, it's always service with a smile at Stephanie's.
